Cannon Beach Elopement

Ricamae and Jacob came from Las Vegas to elope, just the two of them. I joked that usually it’s the other way around. I met Ricamae in her hotel room before the ceremony that would take place on the bluff right outside her room. She had no plans for the day, just to get married and go wherever I wanted to take them (what a dream!). It was just me, them, and the officiant. Some hotel guests watched from their balconies and waved their hats and cheered when they kissed. A man that met Jacob at the gym that morning greeted them with a bottle of wine and a hug as they walked back to sign the marriage license. I got to sign as a witness, which was a first and such an honor! We drove all along the coast, stopping anywhere we saw beautiful scenery (which, lets be real, everything on the Oregon Coast is worth stopping for!). Finally, we came back to the spot right below where they exchanged vows, and the tide had glassed over the sand and created a mirror of the pink sky. Such a perfect ending to a perfect day. I’m so honored to be let in on such intimate days like this! Thank you Ricamae and Jacob for trusting me to document this piece of your story.
